Our journey begins in the rolling hills of the Miniș–Măderat wine region, one of the oldest viticultural areas in western Romania. Cultivated since the Middle Ages, these sunny slopes remain dominated by vineyards that have been tended by generations of local families, producing wines that truly reflect the character of the land.
In the village of Șiria, we will visit Crama Vila Veche for a curated tasting of local wines paired with traditional regional dishes. As we savor the local flavors, we will share stories of the area’s long winemaking history and the diverse communities that shaped its unique traditions.
In the afternoon, we ascend to the ruins of Șiria Fortress. Perched high above the village, this vantage point offers a breathtaking panorama of the Pannonian Plain, stretching endlessly westward toward the horizon. It is a place where the grandeur of history meets the vastness of nature.
We conclude our tour at the Maria Radna Basilica. This magnificent Baroque pilgrimage site is one of the most significant spiritual centers in the historic Banat region, having drawn pilgrims from across Europe for centuries.
